Vergil Planner: Meaning of Classes Statuses

Welcome to the New Vergil Course Search & Planner!

As of October 2023, it serves as the front end to SSOL. To reflect this, we've added helpful labels and statuses that are reflective of actions available to you during Registration. This page will identify and explore the different class status categories you may encounter and what they mean.

STATUS LABEL: Open
MEANING: There is still space in the class:
Students can register if they meet the rules.

STATUS LABEL: Full
MEANING: The class enrollment cap is met:
The class is not accepting more students, no add is available unless a space opens up.

STATUS LABEL: Closed
MEANING: Online Registration is not allowed:
No adds and no drops are available.

STATUS LABEL: Blocked
MEANING: Students cannot register directly:
Instructors may have a waitlist with certain requirements that students must submit or fulfill before being able to join.

STATUS LABEL: Restricted
MEANING: The student does meet the Class Rules:
For instance, if a class/course is school-specific but a student does not belong to that school, they will be unable to register for that class.
