Vergil Planner: Meaning of Class Statuses

As of February 2025, Student Registration now takes place in Vergil. Class Statuses are available in Vergil Registration - they reflect actions available to you for each class. This page contains information to help you identify and explore the different class status categories you may encounter and what they mean.

STATUS LABEL: MEANING
Open: There is still space in the class:
Students can register if they meet the rules or prerequisites.
Wait list: The Class has an Instructor-Managed Wait List The course requires instructor approval for students to join.
Full: The class enrollment cap is met:
The class is not accepting more students, no add is available unless a space opens up. However, a wait list may be open to join, where you will be automatically enrolled as seats become available.
Blocked: Students cannot register directly:
Instructors may have a waitlist with certain requirements that students must submit or fulfill before being able to join.
Restricted: The class section is restricted due to a registration conflict: - Instructor Managed Wait List
- Unsigned Financial Responsibility Statement
- Unresolved Hold
- Unmet Prerequisite or Class Rules
- Credit and/or Wait List limit reached
Closed: Online Registration is not allowed:
No adds and no drops are available.
